assalamu Alaykum
A couple of weeks ago, I had an idea for a social development change with the aim of teaching elderly women how to read and write.
Now the obstacle I faced was with the venue, it took a whole lot to get the venue approved. I am talking about letters that were written countless times. Trips to the Government office in charge, disappointments and a whole lot of it.
But during the course of it, something happened, I changed my mindset and decided to just put my hope in God and be optimistic.
“…your Lord is as you perceive Him to be”
“…and verily Allah loves those who put their trust in him”
The first is a hadith while the second is an ayah, which i found to be truly beautiful in times like these of immense uncertainty and anxiety from your own self.
I put my trust in Allah and ensured that I had just positive thoughts of Him. I was optimistic.
And I felt at peace, really, I did, it was beautiful and I understood what people often talked about worrying being pointless.
Someone said “when you worry, you suffer twice”. But once you put your complete hope and trust in Allah, you shouldn’t have to worry.
Be optimistic and have positive thoughts about your Lord for “…He is as you think of Him”. Optimism of Him works in both ways, knowing that He has your best interest at heart, I mean, He is your maker, He is Al wadud, the most loving. So do you think He would decree something that won’t benefit you in the long run?
That is all I have for you this week.
Wassalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wa barakatuh, May the soul of Abubakar Abdurrahman continue to rest in Peace. Ameeen.
